How it works: linking your WhatsApp number

You message through your own number, linked like WhatsApp Web.

You send messages through your own WhatsApp number, linked to the app like WhatsApp Web.

How linking works

1. You scan a QR code in Devices to link your number — the same way you’d link WhatsApp Web.
2. Your phone stays the source of truth, so keep it online.
3. The app then sends and receives on your behalf.

Because you’re messaging through a real number, always follow good sending practices to keep it healthy (see “How to avoid getting your number banned”).
